The first time the Youth World Games were held in Germany four years ago, the event attracted 14 teams with Youth from 16 countries, breaking all records in the history of the event. “EuroPaint” has been the largest APHA-approved show in the world for the past three out of four years, attracting 300 horses and 1,500 entries in 2019.

Amid Impeachment Proceedings, U.S. Reps Join Together to Discuss Controversial Wild Horse Plan

The House and Senate versions of the Interior-Environment appropriations bill – which are currently being reconciled – each include funding for an untested pilot project that calls for a dramatic increase in roundups and removals. The House bill provides $6 million in additional funding for the program while the Senate bill provides $35 million, and each bill includes report language calling for a total removal of 130,000 horses over the next decade.

The UC Davis School of Veterinary Medicine, in collaboration with LONGMILE Veterinary Imaging, has completed the first phase of the validation of the MILE-PET, the first positron emission tomography (PET) scanner specifically designed to image the limbs of standing horses, using light sedation, eliminating the need for anesthesia.
