Around the Rings – The Texas Classic 2025
The Texas Classic, also known as “The Classic,” just wrapped up after spanning the dates of August 28 – September 1, 2025, at Will Rogers Memorial Center in Fort Worth, Texas.
Sponsored by the Texas Quarter Horse Association, and Classic Chevrolet, the show offered 6 NSBA judges, 2 AQHA judges, and AQHA, NSBA, and TQHA approval, with paybacks in each class for TQHA members. The judges were Jessica Gilliam, Liz Baker, Michael Edwards, Shannon Holbin, Jake Hartman, and Charlie Cole.

The 2025 TQHA The Classic is underway in beautiful Ft Worth, Texas. Amazing response, plenty of new faces & Mother Nature even cooled things off a tad!
In the Rod Patrick arena, the ladies were Dressed To Kruz and were not airing their Dirtee Laundree as they navigated the trail poles. One exhibitor did get lost and hollered Talkk To Me Goose as they were doing the pin-wheel. Their fellow exhibitors just said Every Once In Awhile you Gotta Go Viral on a reel being shared. Tagg Youre It when sharing the videos.
The fence exhibitors were out in force. We had more than 100 fence runs out in the High Hopes Pavillion arena. And they were Happy As A Lark to have all of the exhibitors join them. No one had to Callin The Mechanic as they left the rails standing and high. And the course designer said I Likit Like That. And when the designer says that, it is SomeThinToBeProudOf.
The ranch classes start today in the Shorty’s Caboy Hattery arena. One exhibitor was starting their day with a TomCollins while another said it was Break N The Law to start the day without some Classic Jack. By All Means, we tell exhibitors that Its Upp To You. But maybe that is best left on Bourbon Street after hours.
The Horsemanship classes this morning are all very large and deep. The ladies were Certified To Dazzle. But there are a few gentleman that are Another Dream Maker in the making. They might be Doctor Phil Good playing some James Brownn away from the arena. Many though only want some Georgetta Jonez blasting through the speakers.
As the planning committee is Starting Rumors that next year’s show is already being organzied, do not be thinking Woulda Coulda Shoulda. You should be marking your schedules to attend. Because Ivegotfamousfriends that are already yelling Yiketty Yak we are coming to Texas!
