Around the Rings – All American Quarter Horse Congress, October 13 2022
On Thursday, October 13th, Congress was a busy hive of activity with classes ranging from Trail, Equitation, Hunter Under Saddle, Western Riding, Western Pleasure, and Halter.
In L1 Junior Western Riding, Blake Weis and Snippity Snap were Congress Champions for Evon Werner. Earlier in the day, the duo became Congress Champions in the L1 Junior Trail, too.
Blake says “Boo,” the striking gray mare by VS Code Red that’s the full sister to Snap It Send It and out of two-time AQHA Superhorse, Snap Krackle Pop, was also really good in her Western Riding class.
“She felt soft, she put her ears forward, and off she went,” he says. Blake explains that Boo enjoys showing and that made the class fairly simple. “She gets better all the time, and though she’s pretty green for a 5-year-old, she just goes out there and shows and nothing bothers or rattles her. She handles pressure really well.”
Blake says that Boo is a lot like her dam, very focused, and he just started showing her in the all around this year. Best of luck to Blake and Boo!
