Around the Rings: 2026 Inaugural Better Together Horse Show

The Better Together Horse Show, an exciting new multi-breed partnership event, was recently held at the Tryon International Equestrian Center May 15-17, 2026.

This inaugural show brought together the NC Appaloosa Club, Appaloosa Horse Club of Tennessee, NC Palomino Exhibitors Association, and PtHA for a weekend centered on quality competition, collaboration, and community.

The show ran in compliance with the official handbooks of ApHC, PHBA, PtHA and NSBA unless otherwise stated.

Judges were Jim Anderson, Steve Lackey, and Mike Carter.

“Better Together 2026 was a tremendous success, with exhibitors and horses representing multiple breeds and associations coming together for a fun and competitive weekend. The event generated a great deal of positive attention on social media, and we have already had numerous exhibitors commit to returning for Better Together 2027, which will be held June 11–13, 2027,” says Shannon Kidney, representative of the Better Together Horse Show and the North Carolina Appaloosa Club.
