Around the Rings: 2026 APHA Zone One

The 2026 APHA Zone One Zone-O-Rama is underway at Oregon Horse Center in Eugene, OR! The August 12-16, 2026 event is a collaboration of APHA Zone One and the Oregon Paint Horse Club, and it offers a full slate of APHA and World Ranch Horse Association classes for both the Zone One Zone-O-Rama and OPHC Paint-O-Rama Horse Shows.

Zone One will be awarding nine Sterling Work Saddles to high point champions, custom buckles to circuit class winners, and three Kathy’s silver halters to overall halter horse champions.

The Zone One Show is APHA, NWCC, WRHA, and OPHC Approved! Zone One Zone O Rama judges are John Andersen, Sarah Schobert, Tanya Green, Brad Kearns, Kelly Boles Chapman, and Jamieson Gross.

OPHC Paint-O-Rama Summer Sizzle judges are Jan Larsen, Leanne Williams Manita DeFoor, and Trisha Armstrong.

The show also just wrapped up their Youth Team Tournament sponsored by The Equine Chronicle. Youth participants competed in wheelbarrow decorating, a wheelbarrow race, combined with a boot scramble, a gunny sack race and a granny panty challenge. “Teams made up for kids from different barns, too,” says Kory Kumar, who sent us all the wonderful photos!
