The Illinois Paint Horse Association and Missouri Paint Horse Club jointly hosted the Freedom Classic in Lake St. Louis, MO. May 4-5th. Judges for the show were Gayle Lampinen, Scott Merritt, Scott Neuman, and Andrea Simons.
Big winners at the show included Sydney Depauw with All Day Every Day in 18 and Under Showmanship. Lana Markway and CR Walk The Line and Megan Seehafer with All That I Got split the judges’ decision in Amateur Showmanship All Ages. Nanci Ryan with TooBusy Bein Fabulous and Denise Sommerlot with LF Black Gold were the judges’ top two in Masters Showmanship.
Laura McFadden and All Time Rockin were the winners in Novice Youth Hunter Under Saddle 18 and Under. Hanna Huibregtse rode All My Charisma to win Senior Hunter Under Saddle. Kelsey Dunlap and Its All About Scarlet won Novice Amateur Equitation All Ages. The winner of Amateur Equitation All Ages was Jamie Ross with Shes Alotta Splash.
Marissa Phillips with Better Than Candy and Jennifer Ross with Im Good To The Max split the judges’ decision in Green Trail. Brady Hattan and Yours Only won Novice Youth Trail 18 and Under. Kelsey Dunlap and A Scenic Legacy were the winners in Novice Amateur Trail All Ages. Jamie Ross and Call Me A Cowboy won Trail All Ages.

Coming up next is a Paint Show on June 15th that’s being hosted by the Rebel Riders 4-H club. This show will count for state points, but will not count as a qualifying show. The IPHA Firecracker Classic is scheduled for June 29th.
