The American Quarter Horse Association is monitoring developments in the rapidly evolving coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic worldwide and the potential impact on the American Quarter Horse Association.

In light of the growing developments, AQHA will temporarily close to walk-in customers to protect the health and safety of AQHA customers, staff and the local community. AQHA Headquarters will be closed to walk-in customers beginning Thursday, March 19. Customers can utilize the drop box located in front of the AQHA Headquarters building, at the bottom of the steps near the bronze statue of Wimpy P-1 to drop off their work during this time in Amarillo.

In addition, the AQHA Service Center located at Heritage Place in Oklahoma City will not be accepting in-person appointments until further notice. Due to the state of emergency declared in Oklahoma City, the AQHA Service Center is closed effective immediately. If you have an appointment scheduled and have not been notified directly, please contact okc@aqha.org.

“Our most important consideration in this decision is the health and well-being of our customers, staff and the local communities,” said Craig Huffhines, AQHA executive vice president. “Our Member Experience Team is available to assist customers with their AQHA business over the phone or by email. Customers can also sign into their account on AQHA.com to complete a variety of business items – pay an invoice, check pending work and more.”

The AQHA Help Center is a great resource when trying to quickly find answers to frequently asked questions. Learn more at helpcenter.aqha.com/knowledge. “We appreciate the understanding of our customers during this unprecedented time and look forward to helping our customers on the phone and by email,” said Huffhines. “This is a rapidly changing situation, and AQHA is committed to providing timely information as it becomes available.”
