AQHA Region 5 exhibitors are preparing for the 2019 AQHA Region Five Championships, which is June 26 at Gloucester County Dream Park in Logan Township, New Jersey. The AQHA Regional Championships provide American Quarter Horse enthusiasts a chance to test their horse-showing skills.

“These shows are the best way for exhibitors to get their feet wet in AQHA championship events,” said Pete Kyle, AQHA chief show officer. “Thanks to the help of our partners, competitors will be vying for some great prizes at each of the Regional Championships, including trophy buckles provided by AQHA’s Awards Recognition Concepts.”

The Region Five Championships features a single-day event packed with a variety of classes, starting with showmanship at 8 a.m. on June 26. AQHA Professional Horsewoman and judge Gretchen Mathes will judge the event. For a full show itinerary and entry form, visit www.njqha.com/shows. (Note: Halter classes will not be offered at the Region Five Championships.)

The pre-entry deadline is June 7, but late entries will be taken at the show with an additional fee. Contact Linda Ceresani, Region 5 show manager, at 609-412-8200 or lindaceresani@gmail.com.

Regions 1, 2 and 6 will also hold Regional Championships. Exhibitors from every region are invited to attend a Regional Championships, but an exhibitor may only compete at one Regional Championships per year, per class. For example, an exhibitor may cross over to compete within a different region if their particular class is not offered at their own Regional Championship.
