The American Quarter Horse Association is pleased to announce the appointment of Cory Randall as chief financial officer and treasurer.

Randall joined AQHA in October 2023 as controller and was named interim chief financial officer on April 6, 2026. Since assuming the interim role, he has provided leadership and guidance across the Association’s financial operations while demonstrating a strong commitment to AQHA’s mission and long-term financial health.

As chief financial officer and treasurer, Randall is responsible for determining and formulating financial policies and procedures and providing overall direction of AQHA’s financial affairs, including budget oversight, within the guidelines established by the AQHA Bylaws and AQHA Executive Committee. He serves as the officer and guiding force for both the American Quarter Horse Association and the American Quarter Horse Foundation on financial matters, policies and procedures. In addition, he serves as staff liaison to the AQHA Investment Oversight Council.

Throughout his time at AQHA, Randall has earned the respect of his colleagues through his professionalism, reliability, humility and thoughtful approach to leadership. His understanding of the Association, combined with his financial expertise, has made him a valuable member of the team and well prepared to assume the role permanently.

Prior to joining AQHA, Randall served as controller for Friona Industries, one of the nation’s largest cattle feeding operations, where he oversaw accounting functions and financial reporting for eight feedyards across two states. His experience also includes financial leadership roles with Deseret Cattle Feeders, Equinox Farming and several agriculture organizations throughout the western United States. Randall earned a master of accountancy from Southern Utah University and a bachelor of science in accounting, summa cum lade, from BYU-Hawaii, and is a certified public accountant licensed in the state of Texas.

“I am very pleased to announce the Executive Committee has voted to move Cory Randall into the CFO role,” said Dave Dellin, AQHA chief executive officer. “Cory’s knowledge, leadership and integrity make him a fantastic fit for this position, and I am proud to have him on our leadership team.”

AQHA looks forward to Randall’s continued leadership and contributions as the Association works to serve its members and advance the American Quarter Horse industry.
