In partnership with St Croix Hospice and RM Elite EsquireFall Creek Retirement Village granted a special wish to a long-time resident on Friday, January 16, 2026.

Beth Yost has been an equestrian for many years. She had several horses in her lifetime, three of which she remembers fondly — Smokey, Danny Boy and Ginger. She longed to see a horse again.

Fall Creek’s Residential Marketing Director Tina Scanlan assisted in making that dream come true with the help of the aforementioned groups, along with Needler’s Fresh Market. They provided Beth with a fun afternoon of feeding and brushing Tuffy (pictured above). They enjoyed several magical moments together. Family and friends shared in this heartwarming time.

Tuffy is a 16-year-old Bay American Quarter Horse Mare. She is experienced in 4-H events, trail riding and versatility riding. Tuffy teaches mostly beginner and intermediate lessons now and will be part of the horse camps this summer at RM Elite Esquire in Pendleton.

Special thanks to Tina, the St Croix Hospice team, RM Elite Esquire, Victoria Bonta, Needler’s of Pendleton, and Tuffy for making this special time possible.
