Each year, the AQHA QData Leaderboard highlights the top sires behind the earnings in the reining industry.

In 2025, the top 10 sires accounted for more than $14 million in progeny earnings. From proven leaders to rising stars, these sires are shaping results in the reining pen today and into the next generation.

 

10. A Vintage Smoke
    A Sparkling Vintage-Lady Smoke Peppy by Mister Dual Pep

2025 Quick Stats:

• Progeny earnings: $710,510
• Total money earners: 78
• Average progeny earnings: $9,109

Details:
The 2015 black stallion made a significant jump on the QData Leaderboard in 2025, moving from outside the top 50 in 2023 to No. 28 in 2024 and into the top 10 in 2025.

That rise is reflected in the performance of his 2022 offspring, with multiple horses contributing substantial earnings to his total.

His 2025 money-earners in the top 50 included:
