By Leslie Woolery, ApHC Interior Designer:
We are thrilled to share an update on the progress of our new ApHC Headquarters.
We are settling into the legendary Oklahoma City Stockyards established in 1910, a location deep in western heritage. There is so much history in that area, just as there is in our club, which was established in 1938 with 100 members and 200 horses.
I am deeply honored to share that I have been tasked with designing and overseeing the build-out of the ApHC office space. Many of you may not know that alongside my dedication to the Appaloosa breed, I am an Interior Designer and Builder by trade.
The project is currently in its infancy, but the energy is electric. I’m proud to share that our BOD’s and acting CEO readily rolled up their sleeves, unpacked boxes, and organized items to get this project started. This “all-hands” approach speaks volumes about the leadership and heart behind our organization.
Our goal is simple: the moment you walk through these doors, you will understand exactly why the Appaloosa is known as “The Breed of Choice”. We are designing an experience that honors our breeds history and the global community we are today. Enjoy the photos; this is just a tease.
