From NSBA:
Devon Meshach piloted Im Batgirl to the win in the $1,500 Added Three Year Old Limited Open Western Pleasure at the 2025 Madness, adding her second Limited title for the year. She showed for Salt Clay Farms LLC.
“Batgirl is a three year old filly by Batt Man and out of No Doubt Im Rockin, a No Doubt Im Lazy mare,” explained Tiffany Pattison, who with her husband, Ross, and daughter, Maggie, own Salt Clay Farms. “We bought her in October. She’s a beautiful mare, we really like the way she moves, and she’s double registered with AQHA and APHA, so that extra registration gives us a little more eligibility. We’re planning to go to the APHA World with her.
“We showed in Venice for the first time and had a nice show there, went to Ocala and did well, and now we’re at the Madness. We’re excited about the future with her.”
Im Batgirl earned the bronze championship in the Three Year Old and Over $2,500 Limited Horse Open Western Pleasure at A Sudden Impulse with Katy Jo Zuidema, adding $1,800 to earn earnings at that show.
It was the second Limited Open win for Devon, who won the Limited Open Western Pleasure Maturity aboard Sundi Bar Hopper at A Sudden Impulse last month. “This is just my first year to show in the Limited Open division,” Devon said. “We just like being around Batgirl. She’s a very cool horse with a great personality. She never says no.”
When asked about her go in the class, Devon noted, “She has great cadence when she moves. She always stays the same. She’s very true when she lopes, she’s very true when she jogs, and I think that’s what the judges appreciate most about her. She has great presence in the pen, too. She definitely knows she’s a show horse. She fits the part.”
The team plans to compete at the major shows this year in Three Year Old Open Western Pleasure with Katy Jo Zuidema, Limited Open Three Year Old Western Pleasure with Devon and Non-Pro and Limited Non-Pro Three Year Old Western Pleasure with Tiffany.
