Art of the Cowgirl, hosted again this year January 17-21, 2024, at Horseshoe Park & Equestrian Centre in Queen Creek, Arizona, has become a western phenomenon with horse lovers and fans of all things western alike.
It’s known as a time to “celebrate, gather, and connect Western women around horses and Western art,” and was founded by the late Tammy Pate, who was honored on Sunday.
Each year, the list of reasons to attend becomes more stunning and alluring for horsemen; this year’s lineup included event presenter speakers for clinics and workshops, including greats such as Dr. Temple Grandin, a fellowship program for crafts such as saddle making, a second annual artist quick draw, a full lineup of musicians, a horse sale, a silent auction, and a trade show – all celebrating the woman’s role in the development and enhancement of the West.
One of the biggest draws for attendees, whether they came to watch or came to show their skill, was the competition, an impressive list of events:
Kimes Ranch World’s Greatest Horsewoman
Presented by Western Horseman
Wrangler All Women’s Ranch Rodeo
Presented by Cowgirl Magazine
Merck Animal Health
Breakaway Roping
Presented by Kimes Ranch
Cowdog Trial
Thanks to Debra Hrynyk of W&C Marketing & Designs, we have an incredible glimpse of action that thrilled the audience in the stands! Stay tuned for more information from Art of the Cowgirl.
