AQHA Pro Horsemen Council Hosting Online Auction For Guy Stoops Scholarship Fund

The AQHA Professional Horsemen’s Council is hosting an online auction to raise money for the Guy Stoops Professional Horsemen’s Scholarship Fund during the 2019 Built Ford Tough AQHYA World Championship Show.

 

Bidding opens August 4 and closes on August 8. A preview of items opens July 25. You can find the online auction at www.internethorseauctions.com, courtesy of www.prohorseservices.com.

AQHA Professional Horsemen from around the country who specialize in a variety of disciplines have donated lessons and training to the auction.

About the Scholarship Fund
Guy Stoops was a talented third-generation horseman. His grandfather was a Calvary instructor during World War I and his father was an avid hunter-jumper and three-day eventer. After Guy was tragically killed in a motorcycle accident in 2003, he was posthumously named AQHA Professional Horseman of the Year.

Stoops believed strongly in giving back to fellow professional horsemen through education and supported the AQHA Professional Horsemen program since its inception. The Guy Stoops scholarship was founded in 2004 in his memory and has awarded scholarships to 19 children. Stoops’ legacy and dedication the American Quarter Horse Association lives on through the scholarship fund and through the Professional Horsemen and their families it impacts.
