According to local California station, Fox 26, a man driving a truck with a two-horse trailer was pulled over when a policeman noticed that he had a flat tire. According to the report, he failed field sobriety tests and had blood alcohol level that was twice the legal limit.

Big winners during the NSBA Futurity portion of the event included Russ Kimbrell, who rode The Batt Machine to win Select Western Pleasure and $340. Jay Starnes rode Million to 1 to win Green Western Pleasure and $225. Becky George and HP Good Margarita won $280 in the 4-Year-Old and Over Novice Horse Trail. Stephanie Armellini and Rumors Inthe Dark won $320 in Green Trail.

2018 AQHA Level 1 Championship Tentative Schedules

The 2018 AQHA Central Level 1 Championships is April 10-14 at State Fair Park in Oklahoma City, the 2018 AQHA West Level 1 Championships returns April 18-22 to the South Point Equestrian & Events Center in Las Vegas and the 2018 Nutrena East AQHA Level 1 Championships is May 2-6 at the World Equestrian Center in Wilmington, Ohio. Exhibitors can compete at only one Level 1 Championships each year.
