The 2015 Tar Heel Triple Classic and Little Futurity ten-day extravaganza has hit the halfway point in Raleigh, NC. The event kicked off June 11-14 with the NCQHYA Show that was judged by Stephanie Lynn, Steve Heckaman, Karen Watters, and Buddy Fisher. Now, the Little Futurity is in Day 2 and will continue over the next two days. The Futurity portion of the show is being judged by Karen Watters, Buddy Fisher, Scott Neuman, Bruce Walquist, Tom Robertson, and Robin Frid.

Diagnosed with four, rare heart defects at a 20-week ultrasound, it was clear this tough, little cowboy would have a hard road ahead of him. Born August 22nd, 2013, Stone passed away February 3rd, 2015. Although he was only with us for a short time, his memory lives on through the creation of the Heart Of Stone Foundation.

The Heart Of Stone Western Pleasure class that will take place Tuesday is open to all ages and all divisions. The entry fee consists of a $100 donation, and all proceeds will benefit the Heart of Stone Foundation. In addition, the Kimmel Family of Ohio has offered a horse, “Moondog,” to be auctioned off prior to the class.

But the presentation of big checks won’t stop when the Little Futurity concludes this week. The NCQHA Jamboree, which will take place June 17-20, has $3,000 added money that will be randomly awarded to competitors. Judges for this portion of the show will be Tom Robertson, Pam Scott, Robin Frid, Brent Maxwell, Jennifer Leckey, and Debbie Kail.

FullSizeRender-57Other exciting events include a bicycle drawing for Novice Youth, Youth 13 and Under, Youth 14-18 competitors. One entry will apply for every class entered.
