NRHA MARKETPLACE SALE

The National Reining Horse Association’s Marketplace sale set a new bar for success, exceeding last year’s performance by more than 47 percent. Last year, 71 horses were sold in the Marketplace sale for an average sale price of $6,059.  This year, the Marketplace sale blew the roof off of the sale arena selling 66 horses for an average sales price of $8,924!

It is becoming evident that the horse industry is making a strong comeback, and the future looks great for the future of NRHA. “As NRHA enters the 50th Anniversary of the association, it appears that people still take great pride in the value of horses and we look forward to a tremendous 2016,” said Gary Carpenter, NRHA Commissioner.

In the Marketplace sale, the high selling horse was Custom Red Berry out of Custom Crome by Otter Run Terri, owned by the W. T. Waggoner Estate.  This mare was sold to Roger Parks at a sale price of $31,500.
