After careful consideration and discussion with family members, the Little family has decided not to hold the 2018 Little Futurity this year.

“We’re not offering The Little Futurity in 2018. We want to thank our sponsors, owners, and exhibitors for their support for the past 13 years. We have really enjoyed providing this opportunity for owners and exhibitors to showcase their Futurity horses.”

For the past 13 years, The Little Futurity has provided an event for competitors to showcase their Futurity horses in classes like Western Pleasure, Hunter Under Saddle, and most recently Trail with big added money purses. At the 2017 event, $8,500 was added to Trail classes, a move well-received by exhibitors.

Another big draw every year were the huge Western Pleasure futurities like the 3 & 4-Year-Old Southern Oaks Novice Horse Western Pleasure, Non Pro Maturity $7,500 Limited Horse Western Pleasure, and the Winehurst Farms $10,000 Limited Horse Maturity Western Pleasure. Other innovative additions included inside purses in a number of classes rewarding the Highest Placing Non Pros and Limited Riders, in addition to a host of fun parties, social events, and charitable classes.

With an eye for detail, trademark customer service, and a family feel, this expertly run show was a favorite on many a competitor’s show schedule.

The experience was a great one for us and our family. We’ve received such great feedback, which has been really touching,” Gale Little says.

Always with a focus on family, we would like to congratulate Gale and Larry Little on the birth of their beautiful grandson, who we are sure is enjoying plenty of attention from Grandma and Grandpa!

Although The Little Futurity will not be held in 2018, the Tar Heel Triple Classic is still on the schedule. The event will include six judges over four days, June 14-17 in Raleigh, North Carolina.

Stay tuned to NCQHA.com for more information about the Tar Heel Triple Classic coming soon.
