The Cowgirl Gathering Moves to May 2023

The fourth annual Cowgirl Gathering, hosted by Marked For Greatness Properties LLC, a for-profit subsidiary of the American Paint Horse Association, is moving to May 12–16, 2023, in conjunction with the Women’s Rodeo World Championship and the PBR World Finals in Fort Worth, Texas.
This weekend takeover of the historic Fort Worth Stockyards highlights cowgirls’ skills in breakaway roping, team roping and barrel racing, while also showcasing exhilarating and engaging female speakers, artists and fashion icons.
“The Cowgirl Gathering has become a pinnacle event for the women of the Western world in the heart of cowgirl country,” Marked For Greatness Properties CEO Steven Hayes said. “We paid out over $300,000 to cowgirls across three disciplines in 2022 and have created an expansive community of Western female leaders through our Essence Exchange platform. Moving to May with other groups who are actively elevating cowgirls and the Western lifestyle is a huge blessing for this event and the groups who support it.”
Why Move?
The Cowgirl Gathering is on a mission to elevate the superior talent of women in the Western world. By joining the WRWC during the PBR World finals week, we will be able to put cowgirls on an even bigger platform. In addition, we hope the move will allow more contestants the opportunity to participate earlier in the year for huge payouts.
