Second Leg of Premier Quarter Sires Crowns Big Champions With Big Checks

3-Year-Old Limited Horse Limited Rider HUS Champion- Julian Harris with Al Wayz On Your Mind

While APHA competitors are headed home this week after a long stint in Fort Worth for the AjPHA Youth World Championship Show, AQHA exhibitors are enjoying sunny skies and sizzling competition at the Stars N Stripes and Big A currently underway in Conyers, GA.

The Stars N Stripes portion of the event recently concluded with a whopping 8,000 total entries. Click here to view complete results from Mark Harrell Horse Shows and great photos courtesy of Lisa Lee. One of the main events at the circuit was the Big A Huntfield Derby with big winners including David Miller with Enjoyable in the Low Derby, Olivia Derlis with ATM in the Low Derby Non Pro division, and Hannah Bedwell with DoYou Have TheMagic in the High Derby and Non Pro High Derby. Click here to view results from that event.

Another big draw for the Big A this year has been the Premier Quarter Sires classes with the second leg of their 2017 circuit taking place over the past several days. Big winners thus far have included Brittany Andrews with Faith Is Certain, who took home $8,900 and a belt buckle from Shea Michelle Buckle Designs in the 3-Year-Old Limited Horse Limited Rider Western Pleasure. Faith Is Certain is by Pleasure For Certain and out of Always Good Faith and is owned by Lee and Brenda Looney Quarter Horses, LLC. The Reserve Champion was Blake Weis with I’m Fun Sized for Ronda Roozeboom, who received $5,900. I’m Fun Sized is by A Touch Of Sudden and out of Laced With Chex.

3-Year-Old Limited Horse Limited Rider Western Pleasure Champion- Brittany Andrews with Faith Is Certain

In the 3-Year-Old Limited Horse Limited Rider Hunter Under Saddle, Julian Harris rode Al Wayz On Your Mind, by Allocate Your Assets and out of Your Arts Desire, to win for owner Sarah Nimigan. This team received $8,800 and a buckle from Shea Michelle Buckle Designs. The Reserve Champion was Mandy Gately with Re Allocate, by Allocate Your Assets and out of Maid For Luke, for Mark and Courtney Brockmueller. They received $5,500.
