The Zoetis AQHA Versatility Ranch Horse World Championships, Zoetis AQHA Ranching Heritage Challenge Finals, AQHA Level 1 Cattle Championships and National Ranch and Stock Horse Alliance National Championship Show are tentatively scheduled for June 18-23 at the Lazy E Arena in Guthrie, Oklahoma.

The tentative schedule for all events is now available online at www.aqha.com/versatility and features exhibitor friendly improvements. Enhancements include a larger indoor show arena with dedicated warm-up space, outside trail classes more evenly spread out over three days, outside ranch riding classes and an additional day of competition to accommodate larger class sizes.

Also new this year, the AQHA Executive Committee recently approved the recommendation to split the open classes at the Zoetis VRH World into junior (horses age 5 and under) and senior (horses age 6 and older) divisions. Horse age is determined by the age of the horse as of December 31, 2018.

Exhibitors can qualify to compete in the individual VRH classes or for the all-around Versatility Ranch Horse world championship title at the 2019 Zoetis VRH World. With the addition of the junior and senior classes, competitors now have the opportunity to compete for seven all-around world champion titles: junior, senior, cowboy, amateur, limited amateur, youth and limited youth.

The qualifying period for the Zoetis VRH World began March 1, 2018, and ends February 28, 2019.

Additionally, the owner of the overall highest-placing RHB horse at the Zoetis VRH World will receive $250 and a specially created ranch horse trophy, and the breeder also will receive $250.

To become eligible for the 2019 Zoetis AQHA Ranching Heritage Challenge Finals, Challenge-enrolled horses must have competed in at least one of the seven Ranching Heritage Challenges in 2018. For more information about the Zoetis AQHA Ranching Heritage Challenges, visit www.aqha.com/ranching.

The Level 1 Cattle Championships will offer cutting, boxing, working cow horse, heading, heeling, tie-down roping, breakaway roping, ranch riding, team penning and ranch sorting. Ranch riding will also be offered at all Level 1 Championships; however, exhibitors may only compete in ranch riding at one of the four Level 1 Championships. To be eligible to enter, an exhibitor must be Level 1-eligible in the class they wish to enter as of January 1, 2018, or Rookie-eligible in the class they wish to enter as of January 1, 2019. Read more about Level 1 and Rookie eligibility.
