PtHA Exhibitor of the Month #3- Gracie Silver

The Wrangler Exhibitor of the Month is Gracie Silver from New Smyrna Beach, Florida. This is Silver’s second year showing in the Pinto Horse Association. “But, I have been showing horses for nine years,” Silver explains.

When asked if she could recall her first show experience, she says, “I was only five when I was in my first show. I remember having a lot of fun, but it was intimidating being on a mini horse and competing against bigger horses and more experienced riders.”

When asked what her horse is like, Silver says, “Riley is a horse who likes to work hard, but he’s also a big kid at heart.”

Silver and Riley compete in PtHA, APHA, local schooling shows, and 4-H shows together. The pair competes in English and Western disciplines. “We are learning new things this year and trying our hand at Western Horsemanship,” Silver says.

When asked what she enjoys most about showing, Silver says, “Since we started working together this year, I appreciate how patient he is and how he is always willing to try new things. I can’t wait to see how we do this year.”
