The Minnesota Equestrian Center in Winona, MN was the site of the 2014 POAC Midwest Regional Show on June 19-22nd. This year, the Midwest Regional was hosted by the Minnesota POAC.

For the second year in a row, the Midwest has hosted a Royalty Ride including royalty representing six different states! Royalty lined up down the center of the arena, and Lisa Hirshmann from Wisconsin sang “God Bless America.” Each of the individuals wrote a short biography that was read as they took to rail and they each showed us a unique wave or great big royal smile.

Leading the ride was Minnesota POAC’s Queen Olivia Flack, who also presented the welcome on Friday’s opening of the show, Prince-Jase Katzenberger, Tiny Tot Prince-Adam Wendt, and Tiny Tot Princess Myah Katzenberger.

The next state represented was the Wisconsin POAC, which will host the 2015 Midwest Regional Show. This year’s royalty included Queen-Emma Bougie, King-Warren Haldemann, Princess-Ava Marx, Prince- Jase Katzenberger, Tiny Tot Princess- Myah Katzenberger, and Tiny Tot Prince-Matthew Brix, who shared his birthday cake with us all after the ride.

Iowa POAC was represented by Queen-Emily Boeke, Princess-Kirsten Schaefer, Tiny Tot Princess-Cora Beth Reed and Tiny Tot Prince Zachary Dammon.

South Dakota POAC was represented with their “Sweetheart and Beau,”  Adeline and Blake Louwagie riding together on their pony RW Sunny Delight, followed also by Prince-Miles Flack.

Also, joining in the ride was Michigan POAC. Their representatives were Sweetheart-Camille Czech and Queen Shelby Brenner.

Last, but not least, was the Illinois POAC! Representing their club were Princess-Karley Schaefer and Queen-Courtney LaBrie.

Each of the royalty participants submitted very detailed and informative bios as they truly represent the talented youth of POAC. They are all active in showing their ponies in addition to school, sports, music and community activities.

The Midwest Regional Show was very proud to have each of them in attendance representing their individual POAC State Clubs. We hope to continue this tradition each year at Regional and National Shows that are held in the Midwest as it gives the opportunity to showcase our POAC Youth and their accomplishments!
