Paints Win at 2021 SHOT Stock Horse World Show

Paints made their presence known at the Stock Horse of Texas’ Western Horseman Stock Horse World Show & Derby, which took place at the end of October in Abilene, Texas. A trio of Paints and their exhibitors earned some of the show’s top honors:

MC Cowhammer & Trevor Carter: Ordner Insurance/American Reliable Insurance Stock Horse Derby Champion

The duo (pictured above) earned $3,800 as the SHTX Derby Champion, and added an additional $1,122 to their tally for being third overall at the Stock Horse Open World Show. Mc Cowhammer is a 2015 red roan overo stallion by Metallic Cat (QH) and out of Gunsmart Gay (QH); he is owned by Bogle Brothers LLC of Dexter, New Mexico.

Slide My Way & Treylyn Hancock: Limited Non-Pro Derby Champion

A Youth rider, Treylyn and her gelding snagged more than $4,600 overall: $3,414 as the SHTX Derby Limited Champion and a $1,200 Texas Triple Threat Incentive winner; they were also third overall in the Stock Horse Youth World Show. Slide My Way is a 2016 sorrel overo gelding by Zezes Pepto Cat and out of Pastels Play Girl (QH); he is owned by Treylyn, who is from Wharton, Texas.

Sioux Per Boom & Addison Coutts: Collegiate Non Pro Champion

In addition to winning the Collegiate Non-Pro world champion honors, the pair were also part of the Collegiate Division 1 reserve world champion team. Sioux Per Boom is a 2015 sorrel overo gelding by A Shiner Named Sioux (QH) and out of Boom N Tari (QH); he is owned by Addison, who is from Whitesboro, Texas.
