Meet Tierney Horton from Larkspur, Colorado. Tierney shows A Sudden Top Notch, also known as Elvis, in Showmanship, Horsemanship, and Western Riding. Other than horses, Tierney also has two dogs, four goats, one lamb, and two cats. She shows her goats and sheep at 4H shows. Tierney’s favorite part of going to horse shows is showing Elvis, watching other people ride, and seeing all the talented horses go around.

When she’s not at shows, Tierney enjoys riding Elvis, working with her goats and sheep, and hiking with her sister. The best thing that has happened to Tierney was getting the opportunity to lease Elvis. Tierney explains, “I didn’t have a horse for a couple years, and it was amazing to have such a perfect little horse to show.”

Her favorite experience showing was getting third in Showmanship at the 2017 Congress. It’s one of her favorite classes and she worked really hard with Elvis to get where they are. Tierney’s favorite show is the Congress because there is always something going on, and it’s a really cool show to experience.
