Equine Chronicle Maiden 3 and Over Champion- Aaron Moses with Made Ya Look

The Madness, presented by the Southern Ohio Quarter Horse Association, is currently underway in Wilmington, Ohio and two of the marquee events have taken place, awarding big checks to the winners.

Judging the 3 and Over Novice Horse Western Pleasure were Pierre Briere, Elizabeth Baker, Brett Clark, and Brad Jewett.

First, Rusty Green rode Nothin But Nett to win $15,000 for Susan Johns. The Reserve Champion was Aaron Moses with Y’all Hashtag This for Brent and Kate Bamford. They won $7,500. Third was Katy Jo Zuidema with Martina Mickride for Robert Roger. They won $5,000.

Fourth place was Brian Baker with Stone Cold Sober for Joe Whitt. This team won $3,500. Fifth was Bret Parrish and KM Made By The Best for Anthony and Christina Curiale. They won $3,000. Sixth was Gil Galyean with A General Consensus for Kenneth and Laina Banks. They were awarded with $2,500.

Seventh place was Jason English with Made In Madison for Melanie Parker. This team won $2,000. Ashley Lakins and The Range Loper for Mr. and Mrs. William Wilkes tied with Angie Rigdon Cannizzaro and Mastering The Lope for eighth place. They both won $750. Rounding out the top ten was Erik Parsons with Made Mighty Cool for Starland Ranch LLC.

Eleventh saw a tie between Brian Ale with Son Of A Machine for Amanda Mehaffey and EH Pait with Shez A Hot Moonlight for Amy Black. Thirteenth was Nick Mayabb with Heza Flatliner for Robin Shiflett. Fourteenth was Katie Green with Ima Golden Machine.

Fifteenth was Jessica Duffy with Ive Been Mooned for Taylor Kungle. Sixteenth was Karen Hornick with Ms Kate Spade for Lee Marie Strahan. Seventeenth was Pat Heeley with Huntin The Good Bars for Knapp Quarter Horse Farms. Eighteenth was Theresa Wills with VS Im Hot for Debra Wasik.

Novice Horse results

In The Equine Chronicle 3 and Over Maiden Horse Western Pleasure, the winner was Aaron Moses with Made Ya Look for Brent and Kate Bamford. This team won $15,000. Second place was Kristy Starnes with The Lopin Illusion, winning $7,500. Third was Clay Arrington with Made In The Dark, winning $5,000. Fourth was Mike Hachtel with The Best Principles for Jane Backes, winning $3,500. Splitting fifth was Chris Jones with Sheza Good Mechanic, winning $2,750 for Kassandra Fordice and Brian Cox with Theexclusivemartini, winning $2,750 for Jeffrey Carpenter.

Seventh was Kaitlin Leblanc with Made Sizzlin, winning $2,000 for Debbie Daugherty. Eighth was Bruce Walquist with KJ American Made for Mark and Natasha Webster, winning $1,500. Ninth was Zach Favorite with Made Ta Order for Doreen Earl. Tenth was Robert Fowler with Respect The Hustle for Michael Schoeff.

Eleventh was Chad Piper with Battin For Cash for Margaret Garwood. Twelfth was Jim Chafin with Hesa Ladies Man.

Splitting a tie for the Intermediate Championship was Chris Jones with Sheza Good Mechanic and Brian Cox with Theexclusivemartini. The Limited Champion was Zach Favorite with Made Ta Order. Second was Robert Fowler with Respect The Hustle.
