Besides the expected classes The Virginia Maiden has become known for, such as 3 Year Old Western Pleasure and Hunter Under Saddle classes, as well as their Maiden, Maturity, and Non Pro classes, they’ve added two more to the lineup.

The 2023 show welcomes a 3 & Over Maiden Hunter Under Saddle with $30,000 added, plus the very first 3 & Over Maiden Ranch Rail Futurity with $10,000 added.

“We are beyond excited for this year show and can’t wait to see everyone in March!” says Cameron Van Sickle. “It is going to be bigger and better than ever with all new Futurity classes and leveled AQHA classes!”

It’s also a year of many firsts, but most notably, for the Ranch Riding industry: The very first 3 & Over Maiden Ranch Rail Futurity will be sponsored by the Troutman Family and their stallion, A Wicked Shine.

The 3 & Over Maiden Ranch Rail will have $12,500 guaranteed added money along with an additional $3000 in cash and prize bonuses for the highest placing two non pro exhibitors!  Scott A Troutman and Pam Troutman, along with TC Saddles and Tack, have also sponsored a brand new Bob’s Custom Saddle that will be awarded to the highest placing Non Pro exhibitor of the Maiden Ranch Rail class!

The Troutman Family along with Lake Point Farm and BMG Show Horses are also sponsoring a $5,000 added All Age Non Pro Ranch Rail class.

The Maiden Ranch rail will run Friday night in the coliseum after the Maiden Hunter Under Saddle and the Non Pro Ranch Rail will go on Saturday Night after the Maiden Western Pleasure!

“We are super excited to offer a new discipline in our set of futurity classes and cannot thank Scott and Pam Troutman enough for your support! If you have any questions please call Cameron at 704-591-2980!”
