AQHA Publicity

The American Quarter Horse Association is excited to cautiously host the 2020 Farnam AQHA World Championship Show; AQHA Select World Championship Show, presented by Adequan® (polysulfated glycosaminoglycan); AQHA Ranching Heritage Challenge Finals; and the Adequan® Level 2 and Nutrena Level 1 championships in accordance with local, state and federal mandates November 2-21 at the OKC Fairgrounds in Oklahoma City.

New in 2020, the entry process will be available online for the first time. The AQHA Show, IT and Project Management departments are working diligently to test the online system prior to releasing the entry information mid-September.

The entry deadline is October 15. AQHA will accept late entries from October 16 to November 1; the late fee is $500 per horse.

The 2020 Farnam AQHA World includes several new class offerings: Adequan® Level 2 2-year-old western pleasure; Zimeta™ 3-year-old western pleasure; working hunter under saddle stakes; ranch trail stakes; dressage and western dressage stakes; and open and amateur working western rail classes, sponsored by Headley Quarter Horses. View additional information about the classes at www.aqha.com/worldshow.

Also new this year, exhibitors will have the opportunity to enter an optional jackpot for each class to ride for additional purse money.

As a reminder, the AQHA Executive Committee waived the qualifying requirements due to the worldwide pandemic, with the exception of the AQHA RHC Finals classes because the qualifying period for the 2020 AQHA RHC Finals was January 1 – December 31, 2019, prior to the pandemic. Therefore, exhibitors entering the AQHA RHC Finals are required to have qualified to compete at the 2020 event.

With the additional AQHA championship shows, new class offerings and exciting new line-up to the Farnam AQHA World schedule, be sure to view the tentative show schedule before you enter. Estimated times on the schedule may vary based on the number of entries received. If you have questions, please contact worldshow@aqha.org.

Event health protocols will be published under Resources on www.aqha.com/worldshow, as the information is finalized with local authorities.
