Dun It For Whizkey Distills a Million-Dollar Legacy as NRHA Million Dollar Sire

The National Reining Horse Association (NRHA) proudly recognizes Dun It For Whizkey as the association’s newest Million Dollar Sire after his offspring surpassed $1 million in NRHA lifetime earnings during the 2026 6666 NRHA Derby® presented by Markel.

The 2013 stallion, owned and nominated in both the United States and Europe by Cardinal Hill Training Center LLC and bred by Oldenburg Farm LLC, has quickly established himself as one of reining’s rising breeding stallions. By Topsail Whiz and out of NRHA Hall of Fame mare Dun It For Chex, Dun It For Whizkey earned $244,528 during his own successful NRHA career before passing his talent to the next generation.

Shown by Franco Bertolani, Dun It For Whizkey enjoyed an accomplished performance career highlighted by a Level 4 Open Reserve Co-Championship at the 2016 NRHA Futurity®, worth $109,855. The pair also claimed the 2016 All American Quarter Horse Congress Level 4 Open Futurity Championship before returning to the sport’s biggest stages to finish third in the Level 4 Open at the 2018 NRHA Derby®.

The stallion officially crossed the Million Dollar Sire milestone at the 2026 6666 NRHA Derby® presented by Markel, where multiple offspring added to his growing total. GT Cinnamon, ridden by Gabriel Borges for Knightwerx Quarter Horses and breeder/nominator Cardinal Hill Training Center LLC, and Thebluelabel, shown by Franco Bertolani for Giorgia Coduluppi and breeder/nominator Bruna Bertolani, both advanced to the Level 4 Open Finals. Their combined Derby earnings of nearly $15,000 pushed Dun It For Whizkey beyond the seven-figure mark.

Dun It for Whizkey’s top-earning offspring include:

• Dun It For Whiz (out of Indians Gunalena) — $180,431 NRHA LTE. Owned by Casey Deary, bred and nominated by Calvin Burger. Mandy McCutcheon found success with the gelding at NRHA major events like the 2023 100x Reining Classic where she was the Invitational Level 4 Non Pro Champion for $65,000, then going on the be Level 4 Non Pro reserve champion at the 2023 NRHA Futurity^® for $34,011. More recently, Nicole Deary piloted the gelding to the win in the Level 1 and Level 2 Non Pro at the 2025 Cactus Reining Classic Derby for just under $8,000.
• Silver Whizkey Shot (out of Wind Her Up Chic) — $69,175 NRHA LTE. Owned by CS Ranch LLC, bred and nominated by Cardinal Hill Training Center LLC.
• Whizkey And Gun (out of Pretty Miss Smokegun) — $52,784 NRHA LTE. Owned by Barbara Leitner, bred and nominated by Irmgard Brendgens.  Nico Sicuro piloted the stallion to a 3rd place finish in the Level 4 Open at the 2026 IRHA Derby for a paycheck of more than $16,000.
• Diamond Handz (out of Princess N Pearls) — $42,291 NRHA LTE. Owned by Macie Clare Johnson bred by Mark Smith and nominated (EU and US) by Jeanette Shirley. Owned at the time by 2Star Investments LLC, Emma Vanlandingham rode the gelding to a 7th place finish in the Level 4 Non Pro at the 2023 NRHA Futurity^® for more than $20,000.
• Whizkey Solo (out of Chic Olena Shine) — $38,307 NRHA LTE. Owned by Elena Sgarra, bred and nominated (US and EU) by Quarter Dream SRL.

While his oldest foals are only beginning to reach the peak of their careers, Dun It For Whizkey has already demonstrated an ability to sire elite performers on both sides of the Atlantic. With finalists and champions continuing to emerge from each crop, his influence within the reining industry continues to expand.

As Dun It For Whizkey joins the elite ranks of NRHA Million Dollar Sires, his growing legacy continues to be written through a new generation of standout performers competing on reining’s biggest stages.
