After receiving entries for the Zoetis AQHA Versatility Ranch Horse World Championships, Zoetis AQHA Ranching Heritage Challenge Finals, AQHA Level 1 Cattle Championships and National Ranch and Stock Horse Alliance National Championship Show, AQHA staff has updated the event’s schedule at www.aqha.com/versatility. The four ranch-horse shows are scheduled for June 13-17 at the Lazy E Arena in Guthrie, Oklahoma.

“Ranching is such an important segment of the equine industry, and we are thrilled to be able to showcase the ranch-bred American Quarter Horse and our members who love them through the most prestigious ranch horse shows of the year,” said Kim Lindsey, AQHA director of ranching. “With an 81 percent increase in entries for the Zoetis VRH World and 12 percent increase in entries for the Zoetis RHC Finals, AQHA staff felt it was necessary to ensure the show schedule was suitable for both exhibitors and horses. Plus, we’ve doubled AQHA Cattle Level 1 entries and have 750 entries competing in the NRSHA National Championship Show.”

“To accommodate the increased number of entries, we’ve added additional arenas and moved some conformation classes from Thursday to Friday,” said Lindsey. “We also moved all the Zoetis RHC Finals classes, except for the Zoetis RHC Finals barrel racing, to Sunday.”

To view the revised schedule, visit www.aqha.com/versatility.

Stall assignments and the tentative exercise schedule will be posted on www.aqha.com/versatility closer to the event. Horses attending the event are required to provide a current negative Coggins report (EIA) and health certificate (CVI) in accordance with state guidelines.

New at this year’s show, an exhibitor meeting and awards presentation will take place at 6:30 p.m. each evening June 13-15 in the Lazy E Cantina. Winners of the classes held before 6:30 p.m. on these three days will be presented their awards at this time. Winners of classes that take place after the awards presentations on these nights will receive their awards in the arena at the end of their respective classes.

Exhibitors and spectators are also invited to the awards party and exhibitor reception at 6 p.m. on Saturday, June 16, in the Lazy E Cantina, sponsored by RSM US, the fifth- largest accounting firm in the United States. Attendees will have the opportunity to mingle with fellow exhibitors and watch as the top all-around winners in the six divisions of the Zoetis VRH World and NRSHA Championships are honored with a special awards presentation. Each all around-winner, along with their connections, will be recognized and interviewed.
