The sun sets on the Florida Gulf Coast.

Coming off the heels of a highly successful Florida Gold Coast Quarter Horse Show over the New Year in Tampa, Florida, the Florida Gulf Coast Quarter Horse Show did not disappoint, turning in big numbers, especially in leveled classes. Although the weather was less than ideal, with unseasonably cold temperatures for this part of the country, competitors came out in droves to rack up large entry totals in classes like Horsemanship, Showmanship, and Trail, especially.

Judges for the show were Carly Parks, Robert Dehn, Leonard Berryhill, Danielle Burns, Robbin Jung, Michael Jung, John Boxell, Chris Thompson, Larry Little, Eric Petersen, Betsy Tuckey, Chele McGauly, and David Connors.

Consistently a Top 20 show year after year, the Florida Gulf Coast, with help from show management team, An Equine Production, brought in a new schedule and even more leveled class options for 2018.

Check out some of the largest class sizes, many of which took place in L1 and L2 classes.

  • L1 Junior Trail- 22
  • 14-18 Horsemanship- 23
  • L1 Amateur Trail- 23
  • L1 Amateur Horsemanship- 24
  • L1 Senior Trail- 25
  • Amateur Showmanship- 28
  • Amateur Horsemanship- 31
  • L2 Senior Trail- 47
