The Amateur Walk/Jog High Point Champion was Nicole Williams with Busted For LopenLazy. Reserve was Julia Plemmons with Zippos Tabitha. The Youth Walk/Jog Champion was Sophia Meekel with Hourgirl Sleeps. Reserve was Dakota Monea with Lucky Detail. The winner of the Blue Ribbon L1 Amateur/Select Trail Challenge was Madison Nirenstein with No Doubt Im Trouble.

An Equine Production show management team reported an incredible 1,400 entry increase over last year’s event. Because the event was so well-attended, the club’s next show, the MOQHA Maple Leaf, will see changes to its schedule in order to accommodate the exponential growth.

The winner was Ashley Dunbar Clock with HP Satin Dream, who received $1,300 for Janee and Dominic Pugliani. The Reserve Champion was Nancy Alto-Renfro with I Look Extremely Hot, who won $900 for Taylor Brown. Third was Andrea Kail with Movin The Chains, who won $650 for Julie Hoefling. Fourth was Deanna Searles with Hereicomeagain, winning $550 for Kathy Tobin.

The Dixie National Quarter Horse Show is a wrap with large classes and fun had by all. The show started on February 4th with the Equestrian With Disabilities events. There were 142 AQHA and 116 NSBA entries, our largest show to date. All of the participants had a great time, and a lot of new friends were made.

Show Manager, Amanda Palmer, is looking forward to seeing the positive impact that the new division will have on youth numbers for APHA. “I feel that the addition of this division will help us to expand the participation within our youth. We’re very encouraged with the participation in this division at our first two shows this year, and we’re looking forward to seeing the growth of this division for 2020.”
