EC Cover Boy, My Intention, Sire of EIGHT Trophy Winners at Select World Show

Red sired FOUR World Champions at the show: Inexces, My Bravado, Illicit Intention, and Trillions. He sired TWO Reserve World Champions: Cruisin Intentions and Luckly Employed. He was the sire of TWO bronze champions: Wisshes and Total Intention. In all, Red had 14 foals that qualified for the Select World Show and competed.

AQHA Select World Crowns All-Around Winners, Super-Select Winner

The 2019 Sundowner Trailers AQHA Select All-Around Amateur is Sharon Forbes-Hanks of Pilot Mound, Manitoba. Forbes-Hanks showed her American Quarter Horse Hot Lil Assets. The 2009 sorrel mare, by Protect Your Assets and out of Barbies Hot Rod, was bred by Cheryl Lang of Humboldt, Saskatchewan. Forbes-Hanks and Hot Lil Assets earned 50 points. They earned the reserve world championship in showmanship, placed third in horsemanship and hunt seat equitation, fourth in performance halter mares and ninth in western riding.

Congratulations to several big winners at the show. Dale Hamilton and Miss Hot Vital Signs topped L1 Trail and Junior Trail on Liz Baker’s card. Her winner for L1 Amateur Trail was Laura Salome with Moonlight Potential. Winning L1 Youth Trail was Jillian Jefferson with Cowboy Causin Mayhem. The winner of Youth Trail was Emma Gore with My Only Good Shoes. Jennifer Paul rode Cruize to win Senior Trail. The L1 Amateur Horsemanship winner was Hanna Hedderick with Icecream. The winner of Amateur Horsemanship was Lacy Watson with The Roan Show.

Fun additions to the show included a giant coloring station for kids, wheelbarrow races, and the Notes of Kindness and Compassion Campaign. During the evening, two concerts playing in the nearby amphitheater provided a soundtrack for the show with the sounds of Wiz Khalifa, French Montana, and DJ Drama, as well as Travis Tritt and The Charlie Daniels Band.
