Thanks to Beth Foster-Hattan for sharing this set of great photos from the recent Illinois Paint Horse Association Fall Shootout and Futurity that recently took place October 4-6 at Gordyville. During the show, the Illinois Junior Paint Horse Club hosted a wide variety of events. The raffle for a Harris work saddle was won by Lori Hodges Jackson and plenty of tickets were sold for $20 a piece, as a fundraiser.

Evan has an encouraging attitude that shines as bright as his show ring smile as he has attended shows from the Dixie Nationals to the Quarter Horse Congress every year since 2011.

More than 1,030 horses were on display generating over 15,600 entries. APHA named 211 world champions over the course of 14 days and held a total of 268 classes. Fifty U.S. states were represented as well as Brazil, Belgium, Canada, Mexico, Paraguay and Sweden.

The transformation of Equestrian from an individual sport to a team sport is difficult to understand if you’ve never attended a collegiate equestrian meet.
