Two APHA Youth Receive Farnam Breeders’ Trust Scholarships

Showing Breeders’ Trust-enrolled Paint Horses really paid off for two Youth exhibitors. AjPHA members Keoma Dunn and Gracie Thompson each received a $1,000 Farnam Breeders’ Trust Youth scholarship from APHA and Farnam Horse Products; additionally, an APHA regional club of their choosing each receives $500, courtesy of Farnam.

OQHA Announces New Location and Expansion

The relocation will occur later this year following a complete renovation of the 26,000 square foot office building at 6325 Zumstein Drive. The close proximity of the new office to the Ohio Expo Center where the All American Quarter Horse Congress is held will allow OQHA and the All American Quarter Horse Congress staff to provide greater service to Congress patrons, sponsors and exhibitors.

The Banixx Pinto of the Month for May is Chex Please, owned by Grace Leung and Lane Dorenbusch of Colorado Springs, CO. Chex Please, better known as Chex, is a stock-type gelding. Leung recently purchased Chex. She said he is sweet and eager to please, which makes showing him a lot easier. They don’t get much practice at the moment because he is boarded in Redlands, California.

The International Buckskin Horse Association is proud to present the IBHA World Championship Show, July 26-29, 2017 at the C Bar C Arena in Cloverdale, Indiana. The event will be triple-judged with triple points and a one day 4-judge warmup show on July 25th, plus an IBHA approved triple-judged show on July 24th.

AQHA L1 and Rookie Exhibitors No Longer Have to Qualify For L1 Championships

The AQHA Level 1 Championships are slated for spring 2018 with the AQHA Central Championships held in Oklahoma City, kicking off the trio of championships. That show is followed by the AQHA West Level 1 Championships in Las Vegas, and the Nutrena East Level 1 Championships in Raleigh, North Carolina. Exhibitors can compete at only one of the three Level 1 Championships each year.
