Continue reading …A huge hit among exhibitors and the talk of the horse show were new improvements made to the Roberts Arena. In addition to new lighting, arena footing consisted of a special mix that was trucked in specially from Maryland. Show management confirms it took nearly 80 truckloads to fill the Lamar Arena. Currently, work is underway on the Bradley Arena, which will also include this special footing.

Continue reading …The Georgia Paint Horse Club has relayed the news that in memory of longtime member and APHA horse trainer, Suzetta Busby, a scholarship is being started through the American Paint Horse Foundation. It will take $25,000 in donations to permanently endow the scholarship in honor of this incredible horsewoman.

They marked a 221.5 in the first go-round and a 217.5 in the semi-finals for a 439 composite score. Heritage Farms owns the 2011 mare that was nominated by Haworth Family Partnership.

Total entries were up more than 8 percent and total horses increased by 4.8 percent, when compared to 2013 numbers. A total of 306 unique horses and 276 unique exhibitors were named champions or reserve champions at this year’s World Show.
