Activities will include a True Colors workshop, discussions with APHA Executive Director Billy Smith, a seminar with Dr. Rick Rigsby, a youth-exclusive Paint Horse Genetics session with Dr. Samantha Brooks, breakout groups to discuss industry trends and topics and a fun, exciting scavenger hunt.

In 2016, PtHA exhibitors are going to see various changes and additions to the schedule for the Pinto World Championship Show, June 13-25, at the Built Ford Tough Livestock Complex at the Expo Square in Tulsa, OK.

Also new this year and for 2016 only, AQHA has changed the qualifying rules. To be eligible to enter the 2016 Level 1 Championship, an exhibitor must:
Be Level 1 eligible in the class they wish to enter as of January 1, 2015.
Be Rookie eligible in the class they wish to enter as of January 1, 2015.
Be an AQHA member at the time of entry and at the time of the 2016 Level 1 Championships.

In her new role, Lindsey will be responsible for developing new programs to enhance and educate American Quarter Horse owners about the ranching division of the Association. She will also direct and coordinate Versatility Ranch Horse competitions in addition to the Zoetis AQHA Versatility Ranch Horse World Championships.

“We recognize the expense for exhibitors of showing to and paying for eight judges. It was, and is, a high priority to us to be able to offer an eight-judge event in a premier facility that is as affordable as possible for everyone. Four free judges is a huge benefit.”

Due to overwhelming demand, time and space are running out when it comes to booking hotel rooms for the 2016 APHA Convention, February 26–29 in Richmond, Virginia.

Note: An exhibitor may not show in both the walk/trot division and a division that requires a lope/canter at the same show. EXCEPTION: a walk/trot exhibitor may show in halter, color, hunter in hand, longe line, parade and driving.
