Serving as a director is a fun-but-serious task. Responsibilities include directing association business, voting on by-law changes and providing valuable input about ways to grow AjPHA and attract new Youth to the program. National directors meet annually at the AjPHA National Convention, which takes place in conjunction with the 2019 APHA Youth World Championship Show in Fort Worth, Texas.

Scott Reinartz, leading Investin A Goodbar, was at the top of his game all week and was crowned the National Champion in Select Showmanship. He appreciated the opportunity to show against the other competitors, adding, “You work hard all year and it’s really nice to be recognized in this way.” Dan Yeager with Cracking The Code, Heather Lange with Tell A Rosey Storey, and Karen Lee Tegner-Manseth with Gotta Lotta Style were also in The Final Four.

The collaboration of the HQHA Stock Show and the GQHA Pro Am is looking to be amazing. At last count, there were only a few stalls available. That will mean nearly 700 total stalls. Please, if you are just deciding to come, do not pull on the grounds without calling first to make sure there are stalls available.

An additional “twist” to the format of the class is that the exhibitors must be a limited non-pro. “A limited non-pro for these classes is defined as any amateur or youth exhibitor who has not won two AQHA World Championship titles in the last five years,”explains Falcon.
