There has been a clarification in the American Buckskin Registry Association World Show Rules concerning Leadline classes. The youth exhibitor nor handler are required to own the horse being exhibited.

NSBA’s World Show is right around the corner. Here are a few important things to note!

“This awards ceremony is a celebration of and a spotlight on all the hard work, time and dedication our members and American Quarter Horses put in throughout 2018 to earn these prestigious titles,” said Pete Kyle, AQHA chief show officer. “We are thrilled to have the opportunity to showcase these individuals and their American Quarter Horses in Oklahoma City during one of our most prestigious shows of the year.”

The popular First 2 Finish Trail Duel is returning to the 2019 NSBA World Show this year! This Handy Horse Trail course will award $3,500 to the winner with $1,000 being awarded to the highest placing non-pro.

“The deadline to reserve and pay for stalls without penalty is July 15th. However, we are waiving the $25 early arrival fee and anyone who has already paid this fee will be issued a refund.”

Included were scholarships for top finishers in 87 world championship performance and halter classes, along with scholarships for randomly selected entries and other special events. All this in addition to the customary prizes awarded at the show, such as trophy buckles, jackets, halters and saddles. Scholarship money totaling more than $110,000 was provided by the American Paint Horse Foundation, as well as private donations from APHA members and industry supporters.

Located less than 20 miles south of the TCU campus, Diamond Creek Ranch currently features a covered riding arena and an outdoor Western arena, both with spectator seating, as well as 44 covered stalls for the program’s horses.
