Those prizes aren’t limited to the top two winners, either—scholarships are paid out through third place in all world championships, with select classes paying to more placings. Random-draw $150 scholarships further sweeten the pot … you never know if you’re going to win! In the last seven years, 64 scholarships have been awarded to the 14-18, 13 and under, level 1, and small fry High Point and Reserve winners. Starting in 2013, and changing in 2016, the amounts of the awards were increased and a second chance scholarship was added. Winners of the 14-18 and 13 and under now get $1,500, while the reserve gets $1,000. In the remaining divisions, the winner gets $1,000 and the reserve gets $500.
