APHA is excited to announce the winners of the of the annual Make Your Mark Art & Photo Contest! After receiving dozens of submissions and carefully deliberating over who this year’s victors would be, it is with great honor that APHA crowns the 2021 winners. This year’s contest featured two age divisions—13 & Under and 14–18—and encouraged Youth members to submit artwork featuring an American Paint Horse. This round of entries featured some of our favorite pieces yet, and we are lucky to have such talented Youth members.

“There comes a time to re-prioritize our lives and spend more time with family- to literally ‘hang up our spurs.’ We will be closing shop soon, with the NSBA World Show being our final goodbye as horse trainers. We will stay active in the industry with Keith continuing to judge and by investing in futurity horses with Mark eventually returning to the arena as an Amateur/Non-Pro in a few years.”

The American Quarter Horse Foundation will award a $1,000 educational scholarship to an eligible AQHYA member competing at the 2021 Built Ford Tough AQHYA World Championship Show. Applications are due July 1.

Point ranges identify the levels that exhibitors and horses are eligible for when competing at AQHA shows. Owners and exhibitors can view the 2022 point ranges and compare their show record for an approximation of the levels they will be eligible for in the 2022 show season. Points earned through October 31, 2021, will be used to determine the level at which an individual competitor or horse will fall within for the 2022 show season.
