Tempting Picky Eaters

We humans have a huge diversity of individual dietary preferences. Some have a raging sweet tooth, others prefer salty or spicy, love or hate specific vegetables, etc. It’s not as complicated for horses. Their instinctive taste preferences are geared toward survival. Try as you might, you won’t be able to create an acquired taste for sushi in a horse.

Example: In a three judge Trail class, the high scoring (jackpot entered) horse scores a 74, 74 and a 75 for a composite score of 223. The high score horse and next two highest scores will split the 1D purse. 2D Payout will begin 21 points less at 202 and the three highest scores at 202 or below will be paid the 2D payout. Each payout will be split 45%, 35%, 20%.

Its A Southern Thing- Congratulations to Gumz Farms Quarter Horses and Its A Southern Thing for winning the 2020 Super Sire of the year award for the second year in a row. Gumz Farms received a trophy from Cowboy Bronze, a check for $5,000 and a traveling trophy made by Marrita Black to display throughout the year.
