Around the Rings – 2023 POAC National Congress

The 2023 Pony of Americas Club National Congress, from July 7-14th, just wrapped up at Expo Square in Tulsa, Oklahoma!
Judges for this year’s show: Patricia Smith, Sally Jo Freund, Trisha Shorten-Armstrong, Mark McCarthy, Teresa Pelton, Tammy Mills, Debra Jarvis, Teresa Sullivan, and Jodie Distad.
In typical POAC style, they kicked off the fun on July 6th with a Grand Entry by state, followed by a pizza party and the Youth Challenge Saddle award. More fun followed, with activities like Sidewalk Chalk Aisle Decorating, a Stall Decorating Contest and Judging, a T-Shirt Decorating Contest, a Coloring Contest, a Frisbee Toss, a Boot Scramble Race, and they even celebrate with an oldest pony award at the show (results forthcoming when received)!
Competition also thrived with added money classes in addition to the normal offerings, including the Rebekah Trout Memorial HUS Futurity with $1500 ADDED, and the McClaren Western Pleasure Futurity with $ 1000 NSBA and $1500 POAC ADDED.
