The American Quarter Horse Association has formed an alliance with the American Roan Horse Association.

“AQHA is proud to partner with the American Roan Horse Association,” said Craig Huffhines, AQHA executive vice president. “ARHA is a secondary registry for all roan-colored American Quarter Horses, and this alliance will help recognize and highlight these horses and their owners.”

The purpose of ARHA is to define, promote and enhance the enjoyment of roan-horse ownership by providing a registry and communication venues to facilitate member participation through showing, breeding and competing.

About ARHA
Founded in 2008, ARHA’s mission is to record and preserve the pedigrees of roan horses; provide beneficial services for members that will enhance and encourage ARHA ownership and participation; develop programs and incentives beneficial to roan-horse owners; generate growth of ARHA membership and registration via marketing, promotion, advertising and publicity of roan horses; and ensure the welfare of roan horses and be sure they are treated humanely, with dignity, respect and compassion, at all times.

About AQHA Alliances
AQHA partners with associations, national or international in scope, that predominately feature American Quarter Horses in their competitions. AQHA alliance partners have fair rules and judging procedures that are widely recognized and accepted throughout the world and, where applicable, are substantially similar to AQHA’s rules and regulations. Many of these associations have the ability to provide AQHA with points and/or money earnings on American Quarter Horses competing in their events.
