The Appaloosa Horse Club (ApHC) is pleased to announce the 2020 Executive Committee, elected at the Board of Directors meeting held on Wednesday, January 15th, 2020.

Executive Officers elected for 2020 are: President, Ken Johnson, Dahinda, IL (Territory III); Vice President, Leslie Foxvog, Phelan, CA (Territory II); Chair of Finance, Kevin Griner, Metter, GA (Territory V); Chair of Rules, Paula Gatewood, Dryridge, KY (Territory V); Chair of Marketing, Luke Northway, Polk City, IA (Territory III); and Chair of Planning & Review, Megan Disselkoen, Greeley, CO (Territory II).

“I’m truly excited and honored to serve as ApHC President,” said Johnson, a lifelong horse owner. “Like every organization, we face some hurdles moving forward, but I’ve always believed that great challenges create great opportunities. And 2020 is going to be a great year for the Appaloosa horse industry. We have a committed, dedicated board of directors, outstanding staff, and thousands of members who are ‘chomping at the bit’ to pitch in and help move our club forward. But, most importantly, we have one of the most unique, and easily-recognizable, breed of horses in the world at the heart of our industry. I’m very encouraged about what the future holds.”

The ApHC Board of Directors will hold their annual spring meeting April 2nd – 5th, 2020 in Las Vegas, NV.

The Appaloosa Horse Club (ApHC) was established in 1938 with a mission of preserving, promoting and enhancing the Appaloosa breed. The ApHC has since registered more than 700,000 Appaloosas, which are known for their distinctive color, intelligence and even temperament. True to their reputation as an extremely versatile breed, Appaloosas can be found in nearly every discipline including racing, endurance riding and serving as reliable family horses. The international breed registry is headquartered in Moscow, Idaho, the heart of the Palouse region—the Appaloosa breed’s namesake and point of origin.
