All-Around Champions Crowned at 2018 AQHA World Show

During the past two weeks, the top exhibitors and horses from around the world competed at the 2018 Lucas Oil AQHA World Championship Show at State Fair Park in Oklahoma City. The 2018 AQHA All-Around Amateur Award is presented to the exhibitor and horse team that earns the most points in three or more Level 3 amateur events in three categories during the show. This year, 19 contenders qualified to compete for the title.

2018 AQHA All-Around Amateur Angela Fox and HP The Rusty Fox

Angela Fox of Frisco, Texas, earned the title of 2018 AQHA All-Around Amateur. Fox showed her American Quarter Horse, HP The Rusty Fox. The 2015 sorrel gelding, who is by Mechanic and out of Sheza Pleasure by Nite Chip, was bred by Mariann Harrington and Joe Prause of Cabot, Arkansas. Fox and HP The Rusty Fox earned 38 points. They placed third in amateur hunter under saddle, third in amateur performance halter geldings, fifth in amateur showmanship and seventh in hunt seat equitation. Fox received $15,000, an original Lisa Perry bronze and flower bouquet.

Scott

Scott Allen Reinartz of Crossroads, Texas, earned the title of Reserve All-Around Amateur. Reinartz showed his American Quarter Horse, Investin A Goodbar. The 2009 sorrel gelding, who is by Ima Zippo Good Bar and out of Foxy Asset by Investment Asset, was bred by Jim Dudley of Columbia, Missouri. The pair earned 31.5 points. They earned the world champion title in amateur trail, reserve world champion title in pleasure driving and placed 10th in amateur showmanship and amateur performance halter geldings. The Reserve All-Around Amateur received $5,000 and a silver bowl.

Whitney

Placing third was Whitney Vicars of Cleburne, Texas. Vicars showed her American Quarter Horse, Who Invited RL. The 2013 sorrel gelding, who is by RL Best Of Sudden and out of Whos All Invited by Invitation Only, was bred by Garry Dale Mease of Waynesville, North Carolina. The pair earned 28 points. They earned the reserve world champion title in amateur trail and placed seventh in amateur horsemanship and amateur performance halter geldings. They were also finalists in amateur showmanship and amateur hunt seat equitation.

Placing fourth was Angela Wade of Wellington, Florida. Wade showed her American Quarter Horse, The Perfect Kryme. The 2009 bay gelding, who is by One Hot Krymsun and out of Good Bar Ms by Zippos Mr Good Bar, was bred by Rebecca Bailey, Batavia, Ohio. The pair earned 21 points. They placed third in amateur western riding and sixth in amateur horsemanship. They were also finalists in amateur performance halter geldings and amateur trail.

Placing fifth was Sarah Lebsock of Hilliard, Ohio. Lebsock showed her American Quarter Horse, Version Of Goodbar. The 2008 chestnut gelding, who is by Ima Zippo Good Bar and out of Shehasgoodprinciples by Good Version, was bred by Amy Mullens of Minford, Ohio. The pair earned 11 points. They placed sixth in amateur western riding and eighth in amateur horsemanship. The third- through fifth-place All-Around Amateur finalists received $1,500.
