NSBA Foundation Announces Increase to Youth of the Year Scholarships

The NSBA Foundation has announced that its Youth Of The Year award program will now present a total of $16,000 in scholarships annually.

Starting in 2026, the Youth Of The Year will receive a $7,500 scholarship as well as a $500 donation to the winner’s charity of choice. The NSBA Foundation will also present up to four national finalists with a $2,000 stipend.

About the Youth of the Year Award

Since 2017, the NSBA Foundation has presented the Youth Of The Year award to a deserving youth who has exhibited exemplary character through their community service and volunteerism.

The Susan Scott Memorial Scholarship is also awarded to the Youth Of The Year. The award is now in its sixth year and is presented in memory of the late Non-Pro exhibitor, horse owner and breeder, Susan Scott.

The 2026 Youth Of The Year winner and finalist recipients will be announced on Sunday, August 16, at the NSBA Honors Banquet. The event will take place in the Simulcast Building in Fair Meadows, on the Built Ford Tough Livestock Complex in Tulsa, Oklahoma, during the 2026 NSBA World Championship Show and Breeders Championship Futurity.
