“When I achieve my personal goals for an individual horse or rider, that’s the win!” says Cecelia Vatterott, as she describes the hallmark of her philosophy as a trainer.

The Wellington, Florida resident operates the all-around training and coaching barn, Sea Ridge Farms, along with her mother, the renowned trainer Patty Vatterott. Cecelia started showing horses as an 11 & Under Youth, avidly competing in every event, including the Hunters.

She jokes that she once helped to make a Youth Reining class and ended up with Reining points. Growing up, Patty showed in Amateur and Cecilia showed the same horse in Youth.

However, Cecilia never showed as an Amateur. She left the youth ranks, went to college, and studied sports psychology. After school, Cecilia went to California and worked for Tim Whitney, and that is where she first met Tim Kimura.
