Later as the show wrapped up in the Ford Truck Arena, Liz Baker and Al Be Good To Go won the Maturity Limited Open Hunter Under Saddle. Liz says this was a very special win since it was the first time “Rocko” had been in an English saddle in 14 months.
The 4 year old gelding by Good Better Best and out of an Allocate Your Assets mare was shown by Liz all last year in all the three year old futurities, and they won the Premier.
“Then he fell going down the hill and got hurt,” says Liz. “This is the first time I’ve gotten to show him in 14 months, so it’s super special. He legit has not had an English saddle on in 14 months. I didn’t know if this is the right place to show him the first time after not having been shown.” Since they knew others were interested in buying him, she wanted to show him once more and it turned out to be a special win.
Liz says Rocko is truly a show horse. “He’s correct, has a good topline, and he’s a good mover that canters the same both ways and trots good,” she explains. “He’s sweet like a big dog – he puts his ears up and shows. ”
